    Business Matching for a Singaporean Sanitaryware player in Myanmar

    A Singaporean OEM and supply chain company focused on sanitaryware products hired SunCaged to support their overseas expansion plans into Myanmar. The project team managed to identify over 10 potential players and matched the client with a relevant Myanmar sanitaryware distributor and retailer. The successful outcome lead to other 2 projects to support the client in the development of 2 new brands under their product portfolio, and their entry and growth strategy into Myanmar.

    Overseas Market Workshop in the Construction Sector in Myanmar

    45 participants from 38 companies attended the first Overseas Market Workshop on Myanmar’s Construction sector between 14 and 19 May 2017, an initiative from Singapore Business Federation (SBF) in collaboration with the Building Construction Authority and organized by SunCaged Consulting. Over 5 days, the participants attended lectures delivered by the Myanmar Ministry of Construction, Directorate of Investment and Company Administration, Rajah & Tann, Surbana Jurong and Myanmar Constructors Entrepreneurs Association. Other highlights included visits to Thilawa Special Economic Zone and briefings by Shwe Taung Group and Keppel Land.     Growth Strategy for a Singaporean Engineering Company in Myanmar

    Singapore based company with over 20 years of experience in servicing marine & offshore, oil & gas, transportation, heavy machinery, among other industries, engaged SunCaged to support their expansion efforts into Myanmar. After performing a comprehensive market research, the project team was able to identify over 50 key players within 4 target industries, introducing over 30 companies to the client, with 5 confirmed deals by the end of the project. Additionally SunCaged developed a ROI simulation tool that enabled the client to demonstrate the benefits of their products and services "on the spot", making client acquisition more straightforward and boosting conversion rates.

    Business Matching for a Singaporean Ladies Fashion Label in Myanmar

    A Singaporean fast fashion brand with 3 flagship stores and strong online channels - designed and inspired by urban styles and latest trends for the asian women - wanted to expand to Myanmar, through a local joint venture partner. Based on the client’s requirements, SunCaged developed a full research to identify suitable partners, and designed a company profile, to introduce the client to the Myanmar counterparts. After 2 business matching trips, and over 14 meetings with fashion retail businesses, SunCaged team managed to match the client with a local manufacturing and fashion retail group. As a result, the client and its JV partner is setting up a store at one of the newest premium malls in Yangon in 2018, with plans to grow beyond Yangon to other Myanmar urban centers in the near future.

    A global ladies footwear brand engaged SunCaged for an in-depth market research and entry strategy project in India. Among the deliverables, the project team produced a country's macroeconomic overview with a deeper focus on the consumer market, a sectoral analysis about the retail, fashion and footwear industries, mapping and prioritizing the suitable shopping hubs for the client, according to optimal consumer pool and mall locations. The client followed the recommendations and setup a retail presence in India, achieving overwhelming results. Up to now the client's results in India has been consistently exceeding expectations.

    Lawyers Go Global Programme in China

    30 practising lawyers had their first inaugural “Lawyers Go Global” Programme in China (Guangzhou) from 8th to 12th April 2018, an initiative of the Law Society of Singapore, Enterprise Singapore and Ministry of Law, delivered by SunCaged Consulting. Lawyers had the valuable chance to visit the The High People’s Court of Guangdong Province, Guangzhou Knowledge City and their Intellectual Property Office, One Hub and Singapore Manufacturer Innovation Center. Closer relationship was fostered with Chinese lawyers and business community over networking sessions and visits to the Guangdong Lawyers Association and Guangdong General Chamber of Commerce.
